Here we are back for the second wedding of the year and the second visit to Halswell House in Somerset. It was a privilege to be Cara & Jon’s wedding photographer for the day. Another perfect winter wedding day was made all the more wonderful by such a happy, fun couple that didn’t let the fact that it was very cold, spoil the photo opportunities. The day was rounded off in style with the first dance being sung by Cara’s very talented sister (wow what a voice!) and a magnificent firework display!

This was the first wedding of the year on a very cold but sunny January day. The wedding ceremony took place at St Mary Magdelains church in Taunton, Somerset and the reception was at the fabulous Halswell House Goathurst Somerset. Being a wedding photographer can be somewhat challenging during the winter months, but fortunately this day was perfect except the cold air!

The bride wanted some photographs at The Temple of Harmony which is a small version styled on the Temple of Fortuna Virilis in Rome. When we arrived the gate was supposed to be unlocked, unfortunately it wasn’t! No problem, we can climb over the gate said Sarah! Check it out!
