Back to Torquay for me this weekend for the wedding of Jessica & Paul. The wedding was a civil ceremony at Oldway Mansion. It has been many years since I was last there, but I was delighted that you are now allowed to photograph the ceremony, the superintendent positively encouraged photography – such a refreshing change!
Jessica looked fabulous in her Maggie Sotterro dress (Brides at Waterfields, Torquay) and was supported by her bridesmaids made up of her sisters and best friend. Many of the guests travelled up from London for the wedding, Paul used to live in Croydon. After the ceremony the guests headed off to the reception at The Headland Hotel while we went down to Meadfoot beach for a short photo session for a Torquay Wedding Photographer.
When we arrived back at the hotel we were treated to a superb wedding breakfast (thanks) followed by the speeches. As the sun was setting guests were entertained by a magician performing many fascinating card tricks that had the guests spellbound, especially the children.
I know that Jessica & Paul are extremely grateful to Sheila, Jessica’s mum provide a massive amount of help and support in planning the wedding. I also understand that Sheila was somewhat relieved that Paul finally proposed – it only took him 6 years! (Good thing come to those who wait ;-))
Anyway, Jessica & Paul are now on their honeymoon in Hong Kong and Bali. Hope you are having a great time!
Here are a few photographs from the day:
