Off to a nice wedding at Hestercombe Gardens today! An early start in Minehead for Zoe & Stephens wedding! We arrived to find Zoe unwrapping a selection of gifts including a very nice De Beers necklace (a present from Stephen). A comedy moment was the look on the children’s faces when Zoe unwrapped a garter, check out the photograph below – boys will be boys!
We headed on over to St Michael’s Church which is in a beautiful location overlooking Minehead. Awaiting us was Stephen and his entourage ready and waiting to have some pre-wedding photographs. Stephen also had a very nice gift from Zoe which he was keen to show off – a Brietling watch! I’m sure though that the smile on his face had more to do with his imminent marriage than the time piece on his wrist.
After the ceremony we headed off with our goody bags containing snacks for the drive (a lovely thought) to Hestercombe Gardens near Taunton. Hestercombe Gardens is a stunning collection of landscaped ornamental gardens which were started around the mid 1750’s, they make the ideal location for a wedding reception.
Pimms and Canapés were served on the lawn with a quartet gently playing in the background. It really was a perfect afternoon with Zoe and Stephen’s close family and friends relaxing and enjoying the surroundings before the wedding breakfast was served. After dinner we popped out for a few twilight portraits before the first dance, followed by a troupe of African dancers (Stephen is from South Africa). Anyway here are a few from Zoe and Stephens day…
